Ottawa Valley Cannabis Store (OVCS) is the original pioneering, locally owned independent legal dispensary in Pembroke, Ontario. Opened in October 2020 as the very first Ontario-approved cannabis retailer in the Ottawa Valley, it has built a standout reputation for community-first service.
5 Key Reasons to Shop at OVCS
- Deep Local Knowledge over “Big Box” Retail: Customers consistently note that while general product availability across Ontario is uniform due to provincial supply, the highly trained staff at OVCS are the ultimate differentiator. They specialize in guiding everyone from first-time shoppers looking for easy-to-follow advice to experienced consumers looking for technical specs. [1, 2]
- Convenience & Rapid Order Fulfilment: Located directly across from the Pembroke Mall (right by the Bulk Barn), the location features ample private parking lot access. If you prefer ordering ahead on the OVCS Online Shop, orders are typically packed and ready for click-and-collect within just a few minutes. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

They aim to get deliveries directly to your door across Renfrew County and Pontiac in 90 minutes or less, and accept cash, debit, or credit right at the door. [1, 2]
- Competitive Pricing & In-Store Deals: Local reviewers frequently cite OVCS as having the “best value in Pembroke,” noting that they routinely run unique in-store promotions, price discounts, and seasonal clearance bags that keep costs below corporate chain pricing. [1]
